Kwa ufupi
In a quasi?experimental study using instrumental variable analysis, the effect of active follow-ups on viral load suppression among people living with HIV (PLWH) receiving intensive adherence counseling in Uganda was assessed. Among 165 participants, 24.8% received a client locator map (instrument) linked to follow-up, but no significant improvement in viral suppression was observed. However, results suggest a modest trend towards better outcomes, indicating a need for larger randomized trials.
