This fact sheet presents synthesized research data on Kenyan consumers' perceptions and the effectiveness of front-of-package food labels (FoPLs). It evaluates how these labels assist consumers in identifying unhealthy food products specifically those high in salt, sugar, and fats and measures their influence on purchase intentions. The findings aim to provide evidence for policy interventions that improve public knowledge and promote healthier dietary choices in Kenya to combat the rising burden of diet-related non-communicable diseases.
