This policy brief, titled "Sustainable European and African Collaboration in Personalised Medicine," outlines critical lessons learned from the EU-Africa PerMed project (2021-2025). It introduces the "Action Plan to facilitate, foster and promote personalised medicine research collaboration between Europe and Africa" and proposes four primary recommendations: establishing dedicated funding mechanisms, creating equitable environments for cross-continental partnerships, developing supporting policy frameworks, and fostering multi-level organizational collaboration. The document serves as a strategic guide for stakeholders in the European Union and African Union to integrate African countries into the global Personalised Medicine (PM) agenda, ultimately aiming to reduce health disparities through inclusive and sustainable innovation.
