Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the determinants of healthcare utilization among individuals 45 years and older based on longitudinal and nationally representative data on community residents from 2015 to2022 in Thailand. Findings support the importance of need factors (poor self?rated physical health, number of chronic conditions, vision and hearing impairment, functional limitations, and health risk behaviors), predisposing factors (decreasing age, transitioning to not married or widowed, and transitioning to not working) and enabling factors (private health insurance, higher economic status, religious involvement and higher subjective life expectancy) in healthcare use.
