Abstract
African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) in collaboration with the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) at the University of California – Berkeley, implemented a short course training in implementation research (IR) with emphasis on infectious diseases. This course is among the suite of interventions under the larger NIH-funded collaborative endeavor led by the Regents of the University of California titled, Infectious Disease in East Africa: a Behavioral and Economic Research Collaborative (IDEA-BERC) whose aim was to address the social, behavioral, and economic dimensions of infectious disease through application of IR.
