This article elaborates on APHRC's role as a fund manager for Sida within the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR). It explains how APHRC goes beyond grant disbursement to build the institutional and grant management capacity of African sub-grantees. Tangible outcomes include community engagement, training for 47 students, research publications, and progress toward GFGP certification for partners, all contributing to a sustainable, African-led response to the AMR crisis through a One Health lens.
