This article addresses the growing burden of cardiovascular-metabolic diseases (CMDs) in sub-Saharan Africa and a critical shortage of trained healthcare professionals to manage them. It presents the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) program in Kenya, which aims to bridge this gap by strengthening pre-service and in-service training for healthcare providers through updated curricula, blended learning, and research capacity building. The goal is to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction by creating a more competent and evidence-driven healthcare workforce.
