Abstract
This article discusses methodological lessons from conducting the National Adolescent Mental Health Surveys (NAMHS) across Kenya, Indonesia, and Vietnam, highlighting survey design, collaboration, and research management practices that enabled successful cross?national implementation under challenging global circumstances. It emphasizes the importance of compromise, communication, and collaborative approaches in improving cross?cultural research processes that support robust adolescent mental health data collection in low? and middle?income countries.
