Strengthening Projects, Enhancing Impact: The APHRC Approach to Addressing Antimicrobial Resistance

Abstract

This blog outlines APHRC's role in supporting African institutions to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a major public health threat, through its involvement as fund manager under the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR). It describes a capacity-strengthening forum that brought partners together to discuss project governance, financial management, risk mitigation, and cross-sector collaboration under the One Health approach, aiming to enhance institutional capabilities and research implementation for mitigating AMR across Africa.
