Abstract

This chapter explores opportunities and challenges in advancing digital health in urban African contexts, focusing on Nairobi, Kenya. It assesses the potential of mobile health platforms, telemedicine, and data-driven systems to enhance access, efficiency, and equity in urban healthcare delivery. Through case-based evidence and stakeholder perspectives, the authors discuss how digital innovations can support public health outcomes, while considering infrastructure gaps, regulatory environments, and socio-economic inclusivity.
