Abstract

Dakar and Ziguinchor are two regions with similar geographic -both bordered by the Atlantic ocean- and cosmopolitan character/attributes. While Ziguinchor presents other advantages from its neighboring countries such as the Republic of Gambia in the North, Republic of Guinea Bissau in the South, Dakar which is the capital of Senegal has one of the most important Atlantic seaports on the western African coast and is located between the mouths of Gambia and Senegal rivers on the southeastern side on the Cap-Vert peninsula. These physical positions present touristic assets and international access and transnational possibilities.
