Abstract
This article sheds light on the under?recognized burden of Parkinson's disease in sub?Saharan Africa, where underdiagnosis, lack of reliable data, and misconceptions about symptoms hinder quality care. APHRC?led research in Senegal and Kenya aims to generate localized epidemiological evidence, assess healthcare capacity, and understand social perceptions to inform policy and strengthen health system responses for Parkinson's care.
