Abstract

This blog describes the Mental Health Data Prize Africa initiative, led by APHRC with Wellcome, which seeks to transform mental health research and practice by harnessing data and innovation. It highlights how the Prize has catalyzed multidisciplinary collaborations, strengthened data science capacities, and promoted scalable solutions for understanding and addressing anxiety, depression, psychosis, and other mental health challenges across Africa.
