Abstract

Urban Health in Africa provides a comprehensive exploration of how rapid urbanization across the African continent shapes health outcomes, socio-economic wellbeing, and sustainability. Bringing together scholars and case study contributors, the volume examines critical challenges from informal settlements, air pollution, WASH (water, sanitation, hygiene), transportation, conflict, and housing to mental and reproductive health in a variety of urban contexts.
